I have edited books at Simon & Schuster, Alfred A. Knopf, Vintage, Pantheon, Ballantine, Harmony, and Monkfish. In 1989 I founded Bell Tower, where, as editorial director until 2009, I published seventy books in ninety-six editions. The two books I have written, Nothing Left Over: A Plain and Simple Life and Caught in the Act: Reflections on Being, Knowing, and Doing, were published by Tarcher/Putnam in 2002 and 2004 and reissued by Monkfish Publishing in 2014. And the one book I have illustrated, On the Wing: Lyrical Moments was published by Andrews McMeel in 2016.
